the reason the US gave Ukraine many towed 777's is because they were already online, would loaded onto our largest transport aircraft and delivered to Poland the were transported to Ukrainian pre-trained units and had an immediate impact on the Russian Armor. The military transports can only load two of the self propelled howitzers and several of the towed versions. This cut weeks off of delivery times and that time difference was critical to the battlefield situation. sm
